CREATING PRIVATE COLLECTIONS

We can assist in single art purchases as well as in creating complete collections that reflect the Client’s taste, interests and financial preferences.


We ensure:

  • Personal, confidential contact;
  • Private showings of objects from outside the regular offer of our auctions and our gallery, brought in on Client’s special request;
  • Searching the resources of other galleries and auction houses in Poland and abroad for requested objects;
  • Investment counselling in fine arts.

COLLECTIONS CATALOGUING

We render cataloguing and archiving services for existing and newly created art collections.


We accept commissions for:

  • Inventory cards,
  • Valuations,
  • Photographic documentation of objects,
  • Extensive catalogues of collections.

ART PHOTOGRAPHING

We are well-experienced in professional studio and reproductive photography of works of fine art, as well as in editing and making photographs ready for high-quality print or digital presentation.


We have professional digital equipment and, for traditional photography buffs, a medium format film camera and studio lighting.


Our offer includes scanning, retouching and archiving services for collections recorded on glass plates, negatives and slides.


Maciej Żywolewski’s top-quality photographs feature not only in our publications but also in museum publications, art albums, artistic monographs as well as national newspapers and magazines. Fees for the photographic services offered by Nautilus are agreed on a case-by-case basis. Full confidentiality of data is guaranteed.

ART CONSERVATION

Assistance is also offered in finding reputable conservators of artworks, especially painting, paper and sculpture, whose top professional qualifications are evidenced by long years of experience.

WORKING WITH MUSEUMS
AND CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS

The Nautilus Gallery and Auction House works daily with museums and cultural institutions, to which we address dedicated offers of artworks or archival records that may be of interest to them considering their profiles and specialisations. As we are well aware that the funds available to these institutions are often limited, we offer them free access to archival records or photographs, in exchange being able to rely on the invaluable knowledge and experience of museum staff members in identifying and confirming the authenticity of the objects we offer to our Clients.
