Painter and poet. Leszek Walicki was born in 1939 in Cracow, Poland. He is a graduate of Academy of Fine Arts  in Cracow and Warsaw. He obtained a diploma in painting in 1965, and in the same year held his first exhibition  in the Krzysztofory Gallery in Cracow.  Besides painting, he also writes literary works for the press and book publications. He has participated in numerous exhibitions, symposiums and open air workshops.  His leitmotif is the problem of growing organic structure.
