HOW TO SELL

If you own a work of fine art (painting, print, drawing, sculpture) that you wish to sell trough our agency, you are invited to come to the Gallery, where we can identify and value the object on the spot.

The identification of the artist or valuation may sometimes require several days’ work and signing an agreement of consignment which will be replaced by a regular commission sale agreement as soon as the research is completed.

If you are from outside Krakow, please send us pictures of the whole items and close-ups of any markings or signatures, if present, by post or e-mail. This will allow a preliminary valuation.

A commission sale agreement always contains an identification of the object accepted and the minimum price guaranteed for the Client, which is usually 75% of the selling price. The Gallery charges 25% fees on the selling price; with objects of high value the fee is negotiable.

SELLING ON COMMISSION AT THE GALLERY

As we have a good knowledge of our clients’ interests and colleting passions, often all it takes to sell is one phone call and a visit, yet there are time when patience and time are necessary. Therefore we try to display the objects we accept for sale in our Gallery’s showrooms.

If your item gets sold, the Gallery will let you know by phone and we will decide together on the date and method of transferring the amount due to you (wire transfer or cash).

A work of art, complete with a picture and detailed description, will also be posted on the Gallery’s website, which is accessible to clients across the world.

SELLING AT AN AUCTION

Rare objects of special artistic or historical interest may be included in the lot list of the upcoming auction. There are at least four auctions yearly; each of them gives an opportunity to reach a wider circle of collectors via a printed or online catalogue, and raises the chances for a higher price in a bidding process.

If we qualify you painting, print or sculpture for a lot list, your 75% may prove to be a lot higher at the moment it sells!

Auctions definitely ramp up the chances of successful sale yet require a certain amount of patience due to their frequency and the time needed for the buyers to close the transactions.

If your object gets sold the Gallery will let you know by phone and we will decide together on the date and method of transferring the amount due to you (wire transfer or cash).

If your object does not sell, we may put it up for post auction sale at the opening price.
